How we build a guide
Each guide begins with a real question someone faces while reading a bet slip. We define the terms, show the applicable math, walk through a practical example, and link the concept to the next useful question.
Sources are named when a claim depends on an outside reference. Time-sensitive facts are dated. Our product and editorial material do not present a wager as certain or disguise missing information as confidence.
Four desk rules
- Show the work: We publish the formula, assumption, or comparison behind a conclusion so a reader can check it independently.
- Separate fact from interpretation: Verified information, live-market observations, and our interpretation are labeled as different things.
- Name uncertainty: An unmatched market, stale price, or missing source is reported as unknown—not silently scored as good or bad.
- No guaranteed outcomes: Price analysis can improve a decision process. It cannot remove variance or promise that a selection will win.
Reviews and corrections
Guides list their publication and update dates. Material corrections are made in the article rather than buried in a social post. If you spot an error or unclear passage, email support@tailgate.app with the article URL and the detail that needs review.
Commercial independence
